NATIVE HEALING PROGRAM

Vision Statement

The vision of the Native Healing Program is to be fully operational in a self-sustaining facility which will meet the needs and demands of the community. NHP works in collaboration and cooperation with other tribal and non-tribal entities to address the growing needs of the Native American community in regards to alcohol and substance abuse.

The Native Healing Program provides culturally specific drug and alcohol treatment, addresses mental health needs, and provides youth activities to Mni Luzahan Lakota Oyate.

Within two years, the Native Healing Program seeks to become certified with the state in order to better sever the Native population, be able to send Native clients to state facilities and have access to block grant funding.

The Native Healing Program recognizes that program outcomes and statistical data will support the success of the NHP services and will highlight unmet needs. This data is essential for validating resource development and best practices in Native American treatment.
